OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Listen and number the correct answers about quantities of things in a room in a freer context. - Read and match the correct answers about quantities of things in a room in a freer context. -Revise the target vocabulary items through the game Memory game. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills: - Listening, writing and reading 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to ask and answer questions about quantities of things in a room. PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: 5’ Game: Pick a door *Aims: to help ss to be happy and play the game. *Teaching techniques - techniques in teaching playing game. *Procedure: -T divides class into 2 teams: BOYS and GIRLS - SS play game. -Each member of 2 teams takes turn to choose 1 door and uses the words (a bed, a desk, two windows, two doors) and structures (There’s a ../There are two ) to make correct sentences. -Click the numbers on the door (1,2,3,4) to choose. -Click the button BACK to go back to THE DOORS. -Say “Open your book page 25 and look at lesson 1” 2. - - Tell Ss that they are going to look at the cards for 60 seconds, memorise the words, then remember as many of the words as possible. -Ss look and listen. Explain how the game is played. Check comprehension. - Put the cards on a desk or stick them on the board. Then cover them with a piece of cloth. Do not let Ss see what is beneath the piece of cloth. - Divide the class into groups. Remove the cloth and show the cards for 60 seconds. Then cover them again. In their groups, Ss try to say as many of the words as they can remember. -Ss play game. - Have the groups say the names of the things aloud. For each correct word, give them a star or a point.
