  1. Grade 4. WEEK 21 Teaching date: Monday January 22nd , 2024 UNIT 12: JOBS Lesson 2- Activity 1, 2, 3 I. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - understand and correctly repeat the sentences in simple communicative contexts in relation to the topic “Jobs” in which ss ask and answer questions about the place of work of a family member. - Correctly say the words and use Where does he / she work? –> He / She works ..to ask and answer questions about the place of work of a family member. - enhance the correct use of Where does he / she work? –> He / She works ..to ask and answer questions about the place of work of a family member in a freer context. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: nursing home, farm, factory - Sentence patterns: Where does he / she work? –> He / She works .. 2. Skills:speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. Educate Ss to gain knowledge about their’s and their’s friends parents jobs Kindness: help partners to complete learning tasks Diligence: complete learning tasks 4. Competences: SS can develop some competences: - Communication and collaboration: work in pairs and groups to complete the learning tasks - Self-control & independent learning: perform listening tasks II. TEACHING AIDS / MATERIALS: - Pictures, textbook, computer, projector, flashcards, recording III. METHODS: - Communicative language teaching, contextual teaching and learning, total physical response, games activities teaching, Model-Action-Talk, teaching methods by visual, direction method, audiolingual method.

PROCEDURE: Teacher’s activities Students’ activities 1.Warm- up: 5’ sing the song My lovely family. *Aims: to help ss to be happy to learn new lesson. *Teaching techniques - techniques in teaching playing game. *Procedure: invite a few pupils to the front of the class -SS sing the song. to sing the song My lovely family. Mai: She’s a nurse. – Context b: Bill: Where does she work? OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: -Listen to and understand two communicative contexts in which pupils ask and answer questions about jobs and workplaces of family members and tick the correct pictures. -Complete two gapped exchanges with the help of picture cues. - Practise using the target vocabulary and sentence patterns by playing the game Guessing game. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns: review 2. Skills: - Listening, reading and speaking 3. Quality /Attitude: -Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class. OBJECTIVES: By the end of the lesson, students will be able to: - Correctly pronounce the sounds of the letters ar and ur in isolation, in the words farmer and nurse, and in the sentences My father is a farmer. and My mother is a nurse with correct pronunciation and intonation. - Listen and circle the correct answers about where someone comes from. - Read the chant with the correct rhythm and pronunciation. 1. Knowledge/ Language focus: - Phonic: Sound /ar/, /ur/ - Vocabulary: review - Sentence patterns:review 2. Skills: - Listening and speaking. 3. Quality /Attitude: Actively participate in activities with their classmates in pairs, groups or class.
